The classic checkerboard, reworked with a vintage attitude.

THEFINALCURE. reimagines the Vans Authentic through a combination of navy-and-ivory checkerboard canvas, hand-applied pearl-effect beads and clear rhinestone accents.

Cobalt blue and ivory beads are individually arranged across selected sections of the upper, adding texture and dimension to the classic checkerboard pattern. Mixed bead sizes create a layered surface, while subtle rhinestone details catch the light between the embellishments.

Rather than covering the entire shoe, the beadwork is intentionally placed throughout the design, allowing the original checkerboard to remain visible. The contrast between the printed canvas and raised embellishments gives the familiar pattern an unexpected new character.

A vintage-style distressed rubber sole adds a worn-in appearance, while navy blue binding, white laces and custom THEFINALCURE. tongue labels complete the rework.

The result sits somewhere between a classic skate shoe and a handcrafted vintage piece — familiar, imperfect and entirely its own.

Each pair is independently customized by THEFINALCURE., with every bead and rhinestone positioned and secured by hand. Slight variations in placement and distressed details naturally occur from pair to pair.

Please note that the pearl-effect beads are decorative beads and are not genuine pearls. Rhinestones are decorative embellishments and are not diamonds or precious stones.

CARE

As this is a hand-embellished footwear piece, avoid prolonged exposure to water, heavy friction, compression and sharp impact.

Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid machine washing or harsh cleaning products to help preserve the beadwork and distressed finish.

Slight variations in bead placement, spacing and distressed details are a natural result of the handmade process and make each pair unique.
